AN 18-year-old man involved in a single-vehicle crash on the Stuart Highway this morning was “extremely lucky” not to have suffered serious injuries after his vehicle left the road and rolled at Virginia.
Police are at the scene of the accident.
The crash was reported to police at 6.14am and happened in the inbound lane.
Watch Commander Tony Bennett said initial reports indicate it was a single-vehicle crash with the vehicle leaving the road.

He said the male occupant had pulled himself from the wreckage.
The stepfather of the 18-year-old man involved in the crash said he was extremely lucky to have not received serious injuries after rolling his silver Navara.
The 18-year-old was on his way to work when the rollover occurred.
A St John spokeswoman said the man was taken to hospital as a precaution.
Watch Commander Bennett asked people to be mindful of emergency services as they attended the scene.
It is understood the road has not been blocked.
