Brendon Daly, 37, appeared in the Darwin Magistrates Court on Friday after he was arrested and charged with possessing a trafficable quantity of the schedule one substance.
Police allegedly caught him with 3.5g of the drug ice concealed in his underwear.
Daly was released on bail on strict conditions.
He was ordered to live with his dad at Millner, report to police twice a week and take part in drug testing.
Magistrate Elizabeth Morris also placed him under the supervision of a parole officer and banned him from entering licensed premises.
Defence lawyer Alison Crouch said the father-of-two would ultimately plead guilty to the charges.
