Paspaley donates $27,000 necklace for Darwin Star Ball raffle

A PEARLER of a donation is set to turn heads at the annual Paspaley Darwin Star Ball.

Paspaley has donated a $26,800 strand of Australian South Sea Pearls, which will be given to a lucky raffle winner.

The raffle tickets are only $50 and are limited in number to increase people’s chances of winning the prized pearls.

Mix 104.9 radio presenter Ali Burton modelled the pearls on Tuesday.

“Every Territory female would love to win a strand of Paspaley pearls,” she said.

“It’s on every woman’s Christmas wish list, and I’ll definitely be buying a raffle ticket or two.

“They’re absolutely beautiful.”

All money raised at the ball goes to Starlight NT, which works with sick children around the Territory.

“In 2015 we worked alongside NT health professionals to reach almost 5000 children across 23 different remote indigenous communities, and I’m excited to share that work has begun on a brand new Starlight Express Room at the Royal Darwin Hospital,” Starlight CEO Louise Baxter said.

The ball is in its eighth year running and has raised more than $1.4 million for Starlight NT.
