Palmerston pedestrian dies week after being taken to Royal Darwin Hospital
A 20 year-old woman, who was fighting for her life in hospital after being struck by a vehicle, has died.

A 20-year-old woman has died a week after she was struck by a vehicle in Palmerston.
Last week, NT Police reported that at around 11.30pm on Monday July 15, a 20-year-old pedestrian had been hit by a vehicle on Emery Avenue in Woodroffe.
The woman was taken to Royal Darwin Hospital in a critical condition with injuries to her head.
A 36-year-old driver was located and conducted a breath test, which returned positive.
The driver was taken into custody following the test.
On Monday evening, a week after the incident, police confirmed the 20-year-old woman had died in hospital.
Major Crash Investigation Unit have taken carriage of the incident and investigations remain ongoing, with a report now being prepared for the coroner.
The latest fatality brings the lives lost on Territory roads to 40 in 2024.
