Following a new COVID case in Melbourne, anyone who arrives in the NT from Wednesday, who has been in a tier one exposure site, must quarantine at a place approved by the Chief Health Officer, likely Howard Springs.

Anyone who has visited a tier two exposure site must self isolate until they receive a negative test result.

Anyone who has visited a tier three exposure site must monitor symptoms and get tested if any arise.

EARLIER:

THE NT Government will speak with its Victorian counterparts this afternoon about the new COVID case in Melbourne.

It’s understood there will be a meeting about 3.30pm ACST.

A man in his 30s tested positive after returning from India via a hotel quarantine period in Adelaide.

There are a number of tier one exposure sites in Melbourne.

The man flew from Adelaide to Melbourne on May 4, began feeling unwell on May 8 and was tested on May 10.
