At the AGM, members discussed the impending workforce crisis, which they say will cripple the industry if a solution is not quickly found.
The NTMIA says it fully supports proposals to secure and use the Bladin Point workers village as a fit for purpose quarantine facility for seasonal workers. With the mango season only months away, it is imperative to create a pathway for workers to enter the country and quarantine in time for the mango harvest.
