MORE Territorians are being given a chance to get in on the successful NT government $6000 Home and Business Battery Scheme.
More than 780 households and businesses have applied for scheme grants with more than 550 applications approved. Renewables and Energy Minister Eva Lawler said the government had invested a further $2.8m in the scheme.

From July, homes and businesses can buy a battery to fit their needs with a grant of $450 per kilowatt hour of battery system capacity, up to a maximum grant of $6000. From August 2, the grant is only for battery systems on an approved list of systems assessed as virtual power plant capable with the ability for the operation of system to be co-ordinated via a network.
