New York arrival tests positive to Covid-19 in NT

A person has tested positive to Covid-19 in the NT.

Northern Territory records no new Covid cases

A MAN from New York who flew into Darwin has tested positive to Covid-19.

The 44-year-old man is at the Centre for National Resilience at Howard Springs.

He arrived in the Territory from New York, after transiting in Sydney, on November 13.

The case is not connected to the NT outbreak.

The man has mild symptoms.

There are currently 24 active Covid-19 cases in the Territory, including one acquired overseas (this man), two acquired interstate, and 21 active local cases.

There have been 251 confirmed cases in the NT, the majority of which were within the Howard Springs quarantine facility.
