WORK on the Palmerston Youth Drop-In Centre has been completed in time for the centre to open on the first day of the upcoming school holidays.
The centre will cater for young people aged between 10 and 17 and provide a supervised space for them to take part in activities including cooking classes, music lessons and sexual health and safe relationship education.
The YMCA has been awarded the contract to run the centre in partnership with Larrakia Nation.
Members of the public are invited to attend an open day at the centre on June 27.

The centre is an initiative under the Breaking the Cycle of Crime in Palmerston plan, and is a partnership between the NT Government and the City of Palmerston.
