Motorists heading through Ti Tree area warned of delays due to significant smoke haze in the area

POLICE are warning motorists travelling through the vicinity of Ti Tree of a smoke hazard on the Stuart Hwy.

Senior Sergeant Richard Howie said there has been a bushfire burning in the region for the past three days which has caused a significant smoke haze in the area.

“Any drivers heading south from Darwin or North from Alice Springs over the next few days are advised to drive with caution and to the conditions,” S/Sgt Howie said.

“Expect delays until the fires and smoke are cleared.”
