A MAN in his 40s has died at a remote outstation in West Arnhem following a suspected medical incident.
St Johns Ambulance NT operations manager Craig Garraway told ABC Radio that at midnight paramedics responded to reports of an incident on an outstation, 40km from Jabiru.
Mr Garraway said Jabiru Health Service and CareFlight crews responded.
He said the man was taken to Jabiru Community Health Centre, but passed away later that night.
“That’s really sad leading up to Christmas,” Mr Garraway said.
A St Johns Ambulance NT spokeswoman confirmed the man in his 40s died in the clinic after being transported to Jabiru Health Services.
Initial reports of a crash connected to the man’s death were incorrect.
NT Police confirmed his death was being treated as a medical incident.
