A motorcyclist has died in hospital, one week after he suffered serious head injuries from a crash on private property.
The 50-year-old man crashed at an outstation in the MacDonnell region, about 100km southeast of Alice Springs at 8.15am on August 25.
As the incident occurred on private property with public access, the death counts as the 47th life lost on Territory roads for 2024.
NT Police in a statement said the man had not been wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
Emergency services took the man to Alice Springs Hospital with serious head injuries.
NT Police said the man died on the evening of September 1, surrounded by family and a file will be prepared for the NT Coroner.
