A 29-year-old man has tested positive for coronavirus after arriving at Howard Springs on Sunday on the QF110 repatriation flight from London.

The man tested positive for COVID-19 while in quarantine at the Howard Springs Centre for National Resilience.

The man is well and asymptomatic and remains under the care of the AUSMAT team at the Centre for National Resilience.

It brings the total number of cases diagnosed in the Northern Territory since the pandemic began to 41.

All cases have been related to international or interstate travel, with no cases of community transmission.

There are now seven active cases of coronavirus in the Northern Territory – the 29-year-old man, an 82-year-old woman, a 31-year-old man, a 31-year-old woman, two three-year-old children and a baby under the age of one.
