Man 25, in hospital after being stabbed in leg in Alice Springs

A MAN has been stabbed in Alice Springs in the early hours of Saturday morning.
NT Police Watch Commander Acting Senior Sergeant Leith Phillips said police were called to a home on Bloomfield St at 2.20am.
“It just appears to be a disturbance, with people at the location, and some fights ensued then someone’s been stabbed,” he said.
The man aged 25, was stabbed in the leg and taken to Alice Springs Hospital for treatment.
At the time he was in a stable condition and it’s understood he has one wound.
Police have set up a crime scene and are investigating the circumstance around the incident.
A/Sen Sgt Phillips said police were working to determine the weapon used in the attack.
It is the send stabbing related incident in Alice Springs in less than a week after a man was stabbed in the loading dock at Woolworths on Thursday morning.
