Over the past two months he has made 10 calls to police and the housing department at all hours of the day to voice his frustration at the anti-social behaviour.

He said he had reached breaking point this week when his wife was threatened by people at the house.

“When it starts getting to that stage something’s going wrong in this place,” he said.

He said it was frustrating as it appeared the housing department was not doing enough to address the issue.

A Territory Families, Housing and Communities spokeswoman said the department was working to address the issue.

The spokeswoman said the department was working with the residents and “support agencies and other Northern Territory government agencies to assist the tenants to address disruptive behaviours”.

“Additional support is being provided to the tenants in the tenancy.”

The spokeswoman said the department had a number of steps in place to work with tenants such as the Red Card, Visitor Management and Acceptable Behaviour Agreement policies.

NT Police was contacted for comment in regards to the matter but failed to respond by deadline.
