ANOTHER high-profile player in the global space race that wants to use a rocket launch pad in East Arnhem alongside NASA is expected to be announced soon.
The Arnhem Space Centre site will become the first non-government facility in the world to launch NASA rockets, from next year, with construction of the launch pad now underway.
Equatorial Launch Australia chief executive Carley Scott said the new launch site was expected to generate $750m in mission revenue.

“With the NASA contract in hand and another rocket launch customer soon to be announced by ELA, the opportunities of space and launch are proving to be very real, and well timed for a nation looking desperately for new economic solutions,” she said.
