A LEARNER driver may find she may need to study up a bit more if she wants to eventually get her open driver’s licence.
And she may want to take more note of where she is dropping her passengers off next time while she is allegedly committing a shopping list of offences.
Sergeant Conan Robertson, of Alice Springs police, said a 19-year-old learner driver dropped off two passengers she legally wasn’t allowed to carry in front of a police station.
“Learner drivers need L-plates on the front and back of the vehicle, a licensed driver to instruct them and are subject to an 80 kilometre per hour speed limit,” he said.
“This is to ensure they learn good habits and become safe road users.”
Police officers were not impressed when the young woman dropped two passengers off at the station, with neither passenger licensed to supervise the driver.
No L-plates were displayed on the vehicle, which wasn’t registered.
The driver was given a notice to appear in court.
