A 15-YEAR-OLD allegedly involved in a terrifying attempted stabbing at the Palmerston Markets on Friday was released from police custody within hours of the violent fight.
Darwin Watch Commander Craig Laidler said police received reports that a 15-year-old girl had pulled knife on a 12-year-old girl during a fight along Palmerston Boulevard at about 8pm.

“The 15-year-old was seen assaulting her, roughly threw her on the ground and punched her face before pulling out a pocket knife,” he said.
“Some bystanders who saw the fight unfold managed to pull her off and stop her before anything else could happen.”
He said the victim was taken to Palmerston Regional Hospital with wounds to her face.
The 15-year-old girl was taken to the police watch house and released shortly after for a court summons at a later date.
