Popular Mix 104.9 radio star Katie Woolf was broadcasting live as Cyclone Fina turned its attention to her house on Saturday.
Katie could only stand and watch and exclaim “Oh Noooo” as she watch the massive tree in her yard slowly collapse on top of the home cubby house filling her yard with tree.
Sunday she and friends were hard at it cleaning up.
She gave a big shout out to her neighbour, former pollie and deputy Chief Minister Dave Tollner who was at her place with his chainsaw by 9am before heading down the street to help other neighbours.
Katie said the boys from AC Electrical and Darwin Electrical got the house reconnected.
Then the wait for the suburb to get back online.
“Nothing like a cyclone to demonstrate the Territory’s resilience,” she said.
