An 18-year-old man who jumped from the dock and fled from Alice Springs Court House on Friday has been caught, NT Police have said.

An 18-year-old man who jumped from the dock and fled from Alice Springs Court House on Friday has been caught, NT Police have said.

NT Police said in a statement, Jonah Mitchell was found hiding in a Ciccone house on Sunday following a police search after he slipped through the Alice Springs CBD and down the dry Todd River riverbed while being chased by corrections officers.

Mitchell was facing court for a bail application on assault, domestic violence and drug charges when he made his break for freedom at around 11am on Friday.

Police charged Mitchell with one count of escaping custody.
