The partnership kicked off with Friday night’s historic game under lights at Gardens Oval between Waratah and the Palmerston Magpies.
Waratah emerged victorious with a huge 19.10 (124) to 8.7 (55) scoreline against the Pies.
On Saturday, the Darwin Buffaloes won 24.14 (158) to the Tiwi Bombers’ 14.10 (94).
