DISGRACED masturbator and former Giles Government minister Nathan Barrett has criticised the NT News and Mix 104.9FM for their coverage of the abuse scandal.
In a Facebook statement yesterday, Mr Barrett said: “... I spent a whole lot of time and effort with people trying to get some resolve for youth crime.”
“I saw how angry people were and I see back on the Belamack (sic) page today the youth offenders are at it again. Spit hoods and restraint chairs stop kids from hurting themselves and others.
“Our corrections staff dont (sic) need to be spat on or threatened in their workplace.
“Is the whole system broken..... yes and has been for a very long time. There isnt (sic) an easy answer. But the media are utterly without accountability and hell bent on spraying vitriol on Government. They feed on chaos.
“They love that they made Elferink resign. They are sharks that frenzy without remorse or care for the human beings involved. The NT News and Katie Wolfe (sic) from 104.9 are lower than low. They either invent or propagate lies to make contention.
“Unbalanced and uncaring. They should be fired ...... passing their views on stories is propaganda of the lowest grade...”
Ms Woolf said Mr Barrett should reflect on his own actions “rather than attack me for doing my job.”
The NT News said: “We think Mr Barrett has more important issues to deal with other than bagging the media, but we know he blames us for his demise so it’s unsurprising.”
Mr Barrett resigned early last month after he sent a video of himself masturbating to a woman who was not his wife. He filmed it inside Parliament House, which he admitted yesterday he did on a Sunday.
