A three and a half metre croc spent most of Sunday at Mandorah stalking fishos.
Darwin man Kirk Tracey and his family arrived at the popular fishing spot around 11am and spotted the big saltie they affectionately named “George”.
“We were fishing down on the jetty and noticed him straight away,” he said.
“He seemed to be keeping an eye on a bloke who was sure fishing off the rocks.
“There were three blokes in an aluminium boat who he was following around as well.”
Mr Tracey said the three fellas in the boat were taking their chance.
“They went right up to it and were trying to get photos but most people steered clear of it and were just taking photos form the jetty,” he said.
George hung around all day and was still there when the family left at 3.30pm.
“It was good to see a croc in the wild like that, apart from him scaring all of the fish away,” Mr Tracey said.
