DARWIN’S A-Grade Cricket season will have games played under lights at Gardens Oval this year, after Darwin Council approved a two-month trial from April to June, allowing lights bright enough to play under.
The trial will allow brighter lights at a level of 500 lux to be used – almost double the brightness currently used – allowing all grades to play out of the heat of the day.
