Thousands of Territorians from Alice Springs to the Top End rose before dawn to pay their respects to Australian servicemen and women past and present.
The admiration for the Anzacs remains as strong as it did when Australian and New Zealand troops first landed on Gallipoli on that fateful day in WWI, 109 years ago.
Territorians, young and old, once again came to pay their respects to those Anzacs, but also every soldier since who had fought and died for the country.
Even more Territorians showed their respects for the Anzac Day parade, which swept through the Darwin CBD later in the morning.
