Freest in the country: Everything Territorians can do from midday today

FROM midday today Territorians will be able to go to the movies, get their eyebrows waxed and have a beer at the pub without ordering food. And sport returns — with crowds! Here’s EVERYTHING YOU CAN DO

FROM midday today Territorians will be able to go to the cinema, get their eyebrows waxed and go to the pub without needing to order food.

And competitive sport returns — with crowds!

Stage 3 of the NT Government’s Roadmap to a New Normal begins tomorrow.

Here’s what Territorians will be able to do:

• Operate all licensed gaming activities including a TAB.

• Officiate, participate and support the playing of team sports such as football, basketball, soccer and netball.

• Go to an amusement venue.

• Attend any cinema or theatre, concert hall, music hall, dance hall, nightclub or any other similar entertainment venue in an approved configuration.

• Got to a pub without food being consumed.

Competitive sport with crowds returns as NT’s restrictions ease

• Operate and access all previously restricted services at a places which provide beauty therapy and / or cosmetic services including facial care.

• Operate and access all previously restricted services at places which provide tattooing or other body art such as branding and piercing.

• Go to an amusement park, community centre, recreation centre or play centre.

• Attend an arena, stadium, sporting facility including community and sporting competitions with spectators in approved seating configuration. However, if the event is above 500 people it requires a separately approved COVID-19 Safety Plan.

• All businesses, facilities and services previously restricted can now resume ensuring adherence to key principles.

All businesses previously restricted by the coronavirus pandemic must complete a COVID-19 Safety Plan checklist by 5 June.

Biosecurity zone restrictions will also be lifted for:

• Tiwi Islands

• West Arnhem

• East Arnhem including the Town of Nhulunbuy unincorporated LGAs and the Town of Alyangula unincorporated LGAs

• West Daly

• Roper Gulf (excluding Mataranka which was not under restriction)

• Victoria Daly (excluding the Pine Creek Ward which was not under restriction)

• Barkly (excluding Tennant Creek, and the Corella Creek, Wogyala and Gulunguru (Alroy Downs) Community Living Areas east of Tennant Creek which were not under restriction)

• Central Desert

• MacDonnell, including the Town of Yulara unincorporated area.
