MEMBER for Stuart Scott McConnell has resigned from the Labor Party.
Mr McConnell was sacked from the Labor caucus in December alongside then-resources minister Ken Vowles and backbencher Jeff Collins.
Party secretary Anthony Brereton confirmed he received Mr McConnell’s resignation this morning.
Mr Collins resigned from the party earlier this month but Mr McConnell last week told parliament he intended to stay a member of Labor while acting as an independent within the chamber.
