When asked if she would contest the next election in her electorate of Wanguri, Ms Manison responded: “yes”.
It comes after a damaging series of hiccups for the government last week, in which two senior ministers publicly appeared to throw Mr Gunner under the bus.
Environment Minister Eva Lawler said she had heard concerns of fireworks being held on August 29 – the height of dry season – and claimed it was Mr Gunner’s idea.
That was followed up the day after by Racing Minister Natasha Fyles revealing the Chief Minister had been responsible for walking the $12m Darwin Turf Club grandstand submission into cabinet.
Mr Gunner had previously avoided answering the question.
