A DARWIN cabin crew training course is open for expressions of interest.
Aviation Australia has partnered with the Northern Territory government to provide the four week Cabin Crew Preparation Course free of charge for eligible applicants in Darwin. Alliance Airlines and Airnorth are looking for 40 cabin crew for Darwin before the end of this year and they cannot find any. This first course is funded for 15 positions and if this goes well there will be more courses. The course, from October 11 to November 5, is at Novotel Hotel at the Darwin International Airport. Enrolments must be completed by September 30.

The course follows closely on the news that Darwin will be the home of a specialised aviation training centre.
The NT government has kicked in $1m for the Territory Aviation Skills Centre (TASC) at Darwin International Airport to deliver the aviation training facility. The new skills centre will deliver training for apprentices in mechanical avionics, specialised training for cabin crew and support the VET In Schools program delivery of Line Maintenance and Electronics training.
