Tommy Nichols catches a crocodile from Rapid Creek

TERRITORIANS weren’t the only ones getting a tan at the beach this weekend.

A crocodile was spotted chilling at Mindil in front of Mindil Beach Casino and Report, enjoying the scenic view of the water.

Renee Milatos, who snapped the reptile, said it was there for a good five minutes relaxing in the sun.

“He was very comfortable up on the beach,” she said.

“He was sunning himself on the beach for a long while before making his way into the water.”

She said there were people swimming nearby who hurriedly got out of the water and shooed the tanning croc.

Territorians are urged to be wary of crocs during the wet season. Please report crocodile sightings around Darwin to the Crocodile Management Team on 0419 822 859.
