A council spokeswoman said their rangers picked up five dogs last night.

“Four of them have been taken to the pound and we were able to return one to their owner because it had been microchipped,” she said.

“We had seven rangers out last night to keep an eye out for lost dogs and direct Territory Day revellers to celebrate safely.”
