Chief Minister Michael Gunner reveals household contact of original case tests positive for Covid, Greater Darwin to exit lockout
One new Covid case was recorded in the NT overnight. Authorities are satisfied Greater Darwin is able to exit its lockout.

UPDATE: ONE new case of Covid-19 has been recorded overnight but poses no threat to the NT community.
Chief Minister Michael Gunner announced the 48-year-old man was a household contact of the initial 26-year-old Katherine case. The 48-year-old was a housemate of the 26-year-old.
Mr Gunner confirmed the man has been in isolation for his entire infectious period.
His first and second tests upon his arrival at the Centre of National Resilience were both negative.
His third test returned positive. He is fully vaccinated and is experiencing mild flu-like symptoms.
Greater Darwin as a result will move out of lockout from midnight Tuesday. The mandatory mask mandate will stay in place until 5pm Friday.
EARLIER: CHIEF Minister Michael Gunner will provide an update on whether Darwin will come out of lockout on Tuesday.
Mr Gunner will front the press at 11am Darwin time.
On Monday the Chief announced a 24-hour extension to the restrictions on unvaccinated residents after a series of new exposure sites were revealed.
Among the high-risk exposure sites is the Noonamah Tavern, Humpty Doo Hotel and Snapper Rocks.
