MOVIE lovers will be able to head back to the cinemas today with both Event Cinemas Palmerston and BCC Casuarina reopening their doors.
Event Cinemas Entertainment director Luke Mackey said both the Territory cinemas would be offering half-price tickets to welcome back customers.
“Territorians can look forward to their local cinema reopening this week and watching movies on the big screen again, including the first new big screen blockbusters Mulan (July 23) and Tenet (July 30),” Mr Mackey said.

He said Event Cinemas would be rolling out a range of new sanitisation initiatives., including contactless booking and check-in via the Event Cinemas booking website and app, cashless operations on site, including in the candy bar and staggered session times.
There will also be hand sanitiser stations, social distancing measures in the foyer and theatre areas and more frequent cleaning.
