THE Territory has revoked all testing and quarantine directions for New South Wales effective from 12.01am on Monday.
On May 5 NT Chief Health Officer Dr Charles Pain ordered anyone in the NT who had visited a NSW COVID-19 case location since Friday April 30 must get tested and undertake 14 days of quarantine in their home or at another a suitable location, after a man in his 50s tested positive for the virus.
The directions were also applicable to anyone who arrived in the Northern Territory after May 6.
All directions are now revoked, however Dr Pain warned Territorians not to become complacent.
He said personal behaviour, including practising high levels of hygiene and physical distancing remain our best defence against COVID-19.
Dr Pain also encouraged the community to keep checking-in at businesses and venues across the NT so health authorities can quickly undertake contact tracing if required.
