THE Australian Federal Police (AFP) has executed search warrants at the new NT Health headquarters building as part of an ongoing investigation.
An AFP spokeswoman confirmed in a statement that they had executed search warrants in the Darwin CBD on Thursday, September 3.
“Further information will be provided at an appropriate time,” she said.
The NT News understands a dozen AFP members searched the Manunda Place building located on the corner of Knuckey and Cavenagh streets.

The newly constructed $75 million complex will soon be the headquarters of the NT Health Department.
A CFMEU spokesman said he understood the union had been the target of the search.
“We are aware of the raid and will vigorously defend any charges or allegations that arise from the matter,” he said.

“This whole exercise – which saw officers flown in from Queensland – is massive overkill, and yet another example of the AFP being exploited as political pawns by their conservative masters.
“In the midst of a global pandemic and deepening recession it is a shameful waste of taxpayers’ money and police resources for partisan political purposes.”
