A MAN broke his leg in Darwin CBD after stepping off his ute and falling.

A St John NT spokeswoman said about 2pm on Thursday the 46-year-old man fell along Lindsay St, Darwin City. He fractured his leg and was taken to Royal Darwin Hospital for treatment.

The spokeswoman said about 3am on Friday an ambulance was called for a 40-year-old woman who was reporting injuries from a car accident.

The spokeswoman said it appeared the woman was also involved in an earlier accident with a motorbike in the last 24 hours, but had refused medical help at the time.

She was taken to Palmerston Regional Hospital with possible arm and rib injuries.
