A 30-year-old woman was rushed to hospital with “significant burns”, according to Queensland Police, and charged with attempted murder and arson late on Saturday.
“It will be alleged around 4am the woman attended a University Drive residence and threatened a man who was known to her, before deliberately setting fire to his unit,” a Queensland Police Service spokesman said.
Police say the woman resides in Marsden, about 6km west of the Meadowbrook unit.
The woman remains in hospital and is expected to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
