Virginia Giuffre, who was sex trafficked as a teenager by Jeffrey Epstein, checked herself into two health facilities after a bus crash in Western Australia last week where she was diagnosed with kidney problems.
This masthead can reveal she was in the emergency department of Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital on Tuesday morning, but may have been discharged later that day.
Police confirmed Ms Roberts Giuffre was involved in a crash with a school bus – but there were “no reported injuries.”
The 41-year-old revealed news of the wreck in a social media post, saying she had just four days to live after being seriously injured in the ordeal.
The mum-of-three, who didn’t provide exact details on where or when the crash unfolded, also shared a bruised and battered photo of herself lying in a hospital bed as she recovered.
Police have since confirmed the wreck unfolded in Neergabby — north of Perth — on March 24 at about 3pm.
But a police spokesperson said there were “no reported injuries as a result of the crash.”
“The collision was reported by the bus driver the following day,” the spokesperson said.
“The car sustained approximately $2000 worth of bus damage.”
A statement from Giuffre’s spokesperson seemed to dispute the assertion that she was near death — saying that the mother of three was in serious condition at an Australian hospital.
The spokesperson insisted she was forced to go to the hospital after her “condition worsened” several days later.
“Virginia was banged up and bruised and returned home,” a spokesperson for Giuffre told The New York Post.
“Virginia’s condition worsened and she was admitted to hospital.
“Concerning her Instagram post, Virginia thought that she had posted on her private Facebook page,” the statement went on.
“Today she remains in serious condition while receiving medical care.”
It comes after Giuffre said the wreck had left her suffering from kidney renal failure.
“This year has been the worst start to a new year, but I won’t bore anyone with the details but I think it important to note that when a school bus driver comes at you driving 110km/h as we were slowing for a turn that no matter what your car is made of it might as well be a tin can,” she wrote alongside the photo.
“I’ve gone into kidney renal failure, they’ve given me four days to live, transferring me to a specialist hospital in urology. I’m ready to go, just not until I see my babies one last time, but you know what they say about wishes. S*** in one hand and wish in the other & I guarantee it’s still going to be s*** at the end of the day.”
Ms Giuffre — who accused Prince Andrew of sexually abusing her when she was 17 after she was trafficked by Epstein — has been living in Western Australia with her husband.
Her father, Sky Roberts, told DailyMail.com the couple had recently split and were embroiled in a messy divorce.
“She’s in really bad shape,” he said.
“She’s very depressed … there’s everything else she’s been going through with the divorce and not being able to see her kids.”
