The Snitch: Mercedes Mum vows to set record straight in auto-biography

Fresh out of jail, where she served four months for leading police on a 232km/h chase, leadfoot glamourpuss Margarita Tomovska — better known as Mercedes Mum — is set to write a book about her life.

Buckle up because leadfoot glamour puss Margarita Tomovska — better known as Mercedes Mum — is putting pen to paper.

Fresh out of the big house, Tomovska swapped her cheap prison green sweats for her designer threads last week in a series of pouting Instagram photographs.

The 28-year-old served four months in jail for leading police on a 232km/h chase in her Mercedes AMG on the Princes Highway in December, 2018. There was a three-year-old child in the car.

Tomovska gained notoriety for treating the bleak pavement outside Sutherland Local Court like a catwalk with her gaudy designer outfits and oversized specs.

Now it appears she is trying her hand at writing.

She told her Instagram followers she had decided to write a book, titled Instagram to Inmate: the life of Mercedes Mum.

“I have decided to write a book that reflects on my life to date and the trials and tribulations and goals for the future,” her post read.

“What you see on social media is not always a reflection of someone’s life. Fashion, cars, lifestyle is just a facade.”

The post also threatened legal action against anyone who leaked information to the media.

BONDIE TATTLETALE

We might go under the banner The Snitch, but that doesn’t mean we condone the following behaviour.

We’re told there’s a bunch of criminal lawyers that have made a certain District Court judge’s hate list after they were dobbed In for bagging him out on social media.

The comments about the judge were apparently made in A closed Facebook group called The Bondie Club.

In short, it’s an exclusive lawyers-only chat forum where legal eagles discuss cases, gossip and occasionally blow off steam in what was, until lately, a safe forum to do so.

Just to get access to the group, you have to answer questions from the page administrator that can include complex legal equations, which rules out your columnists.

We’re told one lawyer bagged out a decision of the judge, sparking a pile on by other lawyers who gave the judicial officer a spray.

Our spies tell us that there was a rat in the ranks of the Bondie Club and that details were fed back to the judge, whose feelings were suitably hurt.

Watch out, there could be some maximum jail terms handed out.

STILL IN CHARGE

The rumour mill was in overdrive this week about the highly speculative departure of a senior police officer on the mid-North Coast.

Multiple sources contacted The Snitch about Superintendent Paul Fehon, who has led the local area command for over a decade.

His wife, Inspector Kim Fehon, is his 2IC — the crime manager — but is currently on leave. It appears a stoush between Supt Fehon and some of the rank and file has reached boiling point and he has been given a deadline of Anzac Day to leave, one source explained.

But according to Supt Fehon, who was the face of the early search for missing child William Tyrrell in 2014, the chatter was just a nasty rumour.

“When my time comes up, I will make it my time,” he said when contacted. “I’m still here and I’ll be here on Monday.”

Another source suggested the veteran cop was digging his heels in and the police association had stepped in because Supt Fehon had “lost the locker room” and a number of officers were off sick because of it.

The official suggested a cultural survey undertaken by local officers and union members did not bode well for Supt Fehon’s leadership and the team around him.
