The pandemic has already claimed the jobs of more than 607,000 private sector employees while at the same time just 19,700 public sectors workers (excluding those on the front line) were hired.

It will also look at those hardest hit including the retail industry, travel operators, hospitality workers and hundreds of thousands of small businesses that have been sent to the wall.

We will examine why many small business owners are too scared to hire staff, and take a look at the employment services sector that critics say is broken.

More than 3.5 million Australians have already been pushed onto JobKeeper but this is just the tip of the iceberg.
