IN A case of dumb and dumber, two prisoners on work release made a detour to a local motel to have sex with a woman.
But their day out was cut short after the pair was caught by Corrections NSW officers who tracked down the inmates after noticing they had deviated from their approved route.

The prisoners from the Outer Metropolitan Multi-Purpose Correctional Centre in Windsor were wearing electronic ankle bracelets when it was noticed they had deviated from their approved route on Thursday.
The Sunday Telegraph understands one of the inmates led the way to the motel with the other tagging along.
State opposition justice spokesman Guy Zangari said the incident was an example of ongoing security breaches occurring across the prison system following staff cuts.
“Staff are struggling to maintain supervision of inmates,” he said.
A Corrective Services NSW spokeswoman said the incident demonstrated the excellent work of the Department’s External Monitoring Group officers’ covert surveillance.
“The officers observed the inmates deviating from their approved route of travel and immediately took action to apprehend them and return them to the centre,” she said.
The inmates were immediately removed from the works release program.
Investigation are continuing, although it is understood the pair will have their minimum security classification regressed.
