A vast array of options are on offer as AFL clubs entice new and returning members for season 2020.
Perks include flexi-packages allowing members to choose which games they attend, and guest passes with some general admission (GA) memberships.
Sydney also lets families tailor their membership to suit them.
To celebrate its 150th year, Port Adelaide is giving 11-game members access to SANFL Magpies home games at Alberton, and all members get a commemorative scarf.
In 2019, AFL clubs attracted more than one million members for the second time, reaching 1,057,572. Richmond led the pack with 103,358, with Gold Coast last on 13,649.
This year clubs are hoping to go one better with everything from free armchair memberships (no games) to corporate packages costing thousands.
Members with match access also get free entry to Marsh Community Series pre-season games, subject to capacity.
AFLW entry is free, except the WA Derby at Optus stadium ($3 entry includes public transport), and double header matches with men’s Marsh pre-season or men’s premiership season games.
The AFL is working with clubs so AFLW members can enter their club’s double-headers for free.
The highly anticipated February 7 Richmond versus Carlton Round 1 AFLW game at Ikon Park will be first in best dressed as booking is not available.
Most clubs still have the basic men’s 11-game home membership, with Adelaide the priciest ($260) and Brisbane the cheapest ($195).
Junior membership prices differ greatly, partly due to game and package offerings. The cheapest are Brisbane ($50), Richmond ($55), Sydney ($60) and Hawthorn ($65).
AFLW membership costs and inclusions also vary.
Adult prices range from $45 (Adelaide supporter) and $50 (Western Bulldogs standard, Geelong supporter, Carlton, West Coast and Gold Coast) to $200 (Western Bulldogs Ambassador).
For many fans, the big-ticket item is an AFL Grand Final Guarantee, which secures access to purchase a ticket if your team makes it.
The level of adult membership required ranges from a small add-on to expensive reserved seat packages.
Cheaper versions (see club table for details) include North Melbourne ($225), Western Bulldogs ($230) and Brisbane ($115 non-Queensland/ $245 Queensland).
Richmond members must buy a $1995 Club XII package, which has a range of extras, as cheaper packages with guarantees are sold out. Fremantle’s cheapest available package $1039.
