TESTS for a suspected case of coronavirus in the Territory have come back negative.
In a press conference, Health Minister Natasha Fyles confirmed the NT Health Department was waiting for tests on a passenger from the Donghai flight from Shenzhen to Darwin on Wednesday.
An NT Health Officer confirmed the passenger’s tests had come back negative. She also said other passengers had been tested but were found to have other viruses not of concern.
It comes as 24 Australian Australian Medical Assistance Teams (AUSMAT) personnel, including nine Territorian professionals, were deployed today to Christmas Island from Darwin to establish a self-sufficient field facility to screen and treat people potentially exposed to coronavirus.
