Child from repatriation flight tests positive to Covid-19 in Howard Springs quarantine facility
A child has tested positive to Covid-19 after arriving in Darwin on a repatriation flight.

FRIDAY, 4.30PM: A child who arrived on a repatriation flight from Pakistan on Saturday has tested positive for Covid-19.
An NT government spokesman said the boy was mildly symptomatic and under the care of NT Health at the Centre for National Resilience.
His case brings the total active count in the NT to eight with all subject to mandatory quarantine.
Since repatriation flights to the NT began in October 2020 16,623 international arrivals have undertaken quarantine at Howard Springs.
A total of 197 positive Covid-19 cases have been overseas-acquired, 146 of which have been reported from international repatriation.
UPDATE SEP 30: A REPATRIATED woman has tested positive for Covid-19 in the Howard Springs quarantine facility.
The woman, 30, arrived in the Territory aboard a repatriation flight from Islamabad, Pakistan on September 25.
It follows a 28-year-old man who arrived from New Delhi testing positive for the virus on Sunday.
In a statement on Thursday, the Department of Chief Minister and Cabinet said the latest case was asymptomatic and was under the care of NT Health at the Howard Springs quarantine facility.
Repatriation flights began to the Territory on October 23 2020. Since then, 16,449 international arrivals have quarantined at the facility, of which 195 have tested positive for Covid-19.
There are seven active cases in the NT presently, none of which pose any threat to the wider community.

A 28-year-old man who arrived from India has tested positive to Covid-19 while under the care of NT Health in the Howard Springs quarantine facility.
The man arrived on the repatriation flight from New Delhi on September 23, and tested positive after showing mild symptoms.
Out of 16,117 international arrivals, a total of 193 positive Covid-19 cases have been reported since repatriation flights to the Northern Territory began on October 23, 2020.
There are currently four active cases in the NT which all are in care at the Centre for National Resilience.
