Man rushed to RDH with suspected brain injury after Marlow Lagoon 4WD crash

A man is fighting for life in hospital after he walked into the path of a moving 4WD at Marlow Lagoon.

St John Northern Territory received reports of the incident at Marlow Lagoon about 4.30pm Wednesday.

NT Police said the man allegedly stepped into the path of a driver on Elrundie Avenue.

The man in his 40s was knocked out on impact.

The driver remained at the scene, and police said he returned a negative result for alcohol and drug testing.

Paramedics, including an intensive care paramedic, treated the patient at the scene.

He was transported to Royal Darwin Hospital in a serious condition with “serious injuries”.

Paramedics said they suspected he had a traumatic brain injury.

Darwin Traffic Operations are investigating.
