A man is out on bail in the Red Centre after being charged with alleged sexual offences.

The 34-year-old man – who the NT News cannot name due a suppression order – has been charged with two counts of sexual intercourse without consent, one count of stupefying in order to commit offence, and one charge of aggravated assault.

He first appeared in court on February 9, 2024.

His matter was again before the courts on June 13, where he fronted Judge David Bamber for a bail mention.

The bail conditions set were to report to the Alice Springs police station at the start of the week.

Defence Lawyer John Elferink was representing the suppressed man and said there were “a number of flaws in this case.”

The prosecution pushed for a six week adjournment, with Judge David Bamber adjourning the matter to July 25.
