Carl was reportedly devastated by Jane’s tragic death.
“Happy Valentine’s Day Jane Strong,” the dad posted on Facebook before his little girl was born. “You are the best thing that ever happened to me.”
According to Brisbane region Inspector Karle Hahne, the fire started at 4:30am on Saturday. It was the weekend of the Brookfield show, and a group of families were staying on the Upper Brookfield property.

“Queensland Fire and Rescue Service received a call in relation to a structural fire here on Galvin Rd at Upper Brookfield,” he said.
“They responded and there was a structure well alight. Unfortunately, after the fire was extinguished, we located two deceased persons.”

Another man was rushed to hospital with burns to his hands, neck and shoulders.
