A YOUNG father killed in a horrific car crash, which also claimed the life of a seven-year-old boy, has been remembered as an amazing brother and a strong-hearted friend.
Wade Williams, 21, and the child were both in the Rav4, being driven by a 24-year-old woman.
The Rav4, travelling down Berrimah Rd, collided with a Ford Ranger, being driven by a 42-year-old man who was driving home along Tiger Brennan Dr from work in Jabiru.
While sharing a heartfelt tribute to her little brother, Natalie Williams, told the NT News she was at a loss after hearing the news.
“I don’t know where to even begin because I have so many wonderful memories about (Wade),” she said.
“You were my amazing little brother, and you were also one of the best uncles in the world but best of all you were one of the best dads I know.
“I will never forget you bro, may you rest in peace.
“Till we meet again bro. I love you billions.”
A friend of Mr Williams, Ryan Allwood, said he spoke to Wade on Wednesday night and that waking up to the news he was gone “crushed” him.
“Wade is a very strong-hearted bloke, he always made sure that everyone else felt comfortable, I lived with Wade for a while, we did everything together, even worked together every day renovating a house, we would always stop off at the pub in Beaconsfield after work to have a couple of beers before we headed home,” he said.
“He was a bright young man who had a lot of talent in pretty much everything. Wade has put a big impact on my life and it’s going to be hard without him, he will be deeply and sadly missed, much respect always, R.I.P. Mate.”

KAKADU chopper crash: “It’s a miracle these men are alive’
As of Thursday evening the woman was in a stable condition and the man was in the emergency department undergoing assessment.
Commander Matt Hollamby said the investigation would be lengthy but initial inquiries had led police to believe speed to be a likely factor.
“It would appear that a car was going too fast and ran a red light and T-boned another car,” Cmdr Hollamby said.
“Speed appears to be a factor, running a red light appears to be a factor and our investigation will determine if there are any other causes or factors.”
He said none of the drivers had been interviewed as their medical treatment was taking priority.
Cmdr Hollamby pleaded with motorists to slow down and follow the road rules.
“Fatal crashes can be measured in millimetres and seconds and all we ask is people take care on the roads and obey the laws,” he said.

“There are 13 people who have died on our roads this year and that’s 13 people that are dead and they all have families and those families are grieving, they have friends and work colleagues, so it’s not a count of just people who have died, it’s a count of the community harm caused.”
Tiger Brennan Dr was closed for several hours on Thursday as Major Crash Investigations officers assessed the scene.
Drones were used to help police collect information.
