A woman has been rushed to hospital after she collapsed on a Surfers Paradise street from a suspected drug overdose.

A woman has been rushed to hospital after she collapsed on a Surfers Paradise street from a suspected drug overdose.
Emergency services were called to the corner of Ferny Ave and Elkhorn Ave in Surfers Paradise at around 10.30am on Thursday.
A Gold Coast police spokesman said they were called after reports of a suspected overdose.
It was understood the woman had collapsed out the front of a medical centre.
Paramedics, including intensive and critical care units, assessed a woman who was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a life-threatening condition.
