Gold Coast police were called after reports of an alleged stabbing on Middle Street in Labrador round 8.45pm on Thursday.
A police statement alleged three men “became involved in a verbal altercation” at a Labrador property before it “escalated” and became physical on the street.
It was alleged, when they were on the street, a 31-year-old Nerang man was stabbed in his neck.
Paramedics rushed to the scene and took him to Gold Coast University hospital in a stable condition with the neck wound and a laceration to his left arm and ring finger.
Police arrested two people including a 56-year-old Southport man and a 20-year-old Labrador man.
They have both been charged with unlawful wounding (domestic violence offence) and are due to appear in Southport Magistrates Court today.
Labrador resident Tracey Sparkles said two of the men were in her driveway after the alleged stabbing.
“There was heaps of blood behind my car,” she said.
At 10pm last night Ms Sparkles said police had declared a crime scene and no one from the set of units were allowed to leave.
If you or someone you know is experiencing domestic and family violence, you should report it to police.
